Breastfeeding Issues

Breastfeeding issues

Is your child experiencing issues breastfeeding? Dr. Gabby Soucy, D.C. talks about this common issue and how it can be fixed. Often times your child has trouble latching on to the nipple due to their jaw being too tight. This can be fixed by inner mouth work with gentle TMJ adjustments. Sometimes your child will prefer one side over the other when breastfeeding because they have trouble turning their head. Gentle chiropractic adjustments can help this issue. When you bring your child in, we check their mouth and neck to figure out why your child is having trouble. Along with the examination for your child, we also explain ergonomic positions for mothers so they are not  hurting themselves with bad posture while breastfeeding. Kids are easy to adjust because they don’t have a life’s worth of injuries to fix. If you or anyone you know are having trouble breastfeeding, feel free to reach out to us!
